Air Montserrat Announces Start of Official Operations

Air Montserrat operators have announced the beginning of its new charter flights service from Montserrat to Antigua beginning on December 1.

The new air service said that it will officially begin flight services offering an introductory rate of US$65.00 or ECC$175.50 per paying passenger one way between Antigua and Montserrat plus any applicable fees.

Ms. Christina Lea, Office Manager said, “the first flight is scheduled for December 1, we already have 15 charters confirmed and 100 seats confirmed and sold.”

This is an important addition to airlift options and reflects Montserrat’s growing market,” Ernestine Cassell, Director of Tourism said. It gives international travellers the option and flexibility to charter this service to better suit their travel schedule.”

Air Montserrat is owned by Philip Rogers, a native Montserratian, and is operated by Trans Anguilla Airways (2000) Limited with the aircraft being based in Montserrat said, “It is my hope to provide superior service and a friendly and convenient alternative to visitors travelling the Montserrat,”

Meanwhile it was reported that Winair has also increased the number of flights between Montserrat and Antigua beginning in December.
